Locomotion Dancehall Organ:

Built by Jonny Verbeeck Antwerp – Belgium, the Locomotion is a unique combination, of the main registers of a typical Dutch street organ, and has the registers of a Belgian dancehall organ This results in a surprising organ with a versatile and wide musical possibility.

 

Technical details of the locomotion:

300 organ pipes in wood including reed pipes, and extended percussion set. Four fixed playing registers and 13 changeable registers including the special dancehall voices.

 

A piece of locomotion history:

The building of the Locomotion commenced in 2003 and the completed organ was delivered without a façade in March 2005. The façade was built in the woodwork shop of RBA rentals and decorated in a traditional style.
